The most popular of the 38 apple varieties we grow, have been planted close together allowing you to check out several apples before deciding what to buy. Handy little carts are available to keep your picked apples near you.While the orchard's layout is done on a modern scale the natural setting of the farm itself has been maintained and offers the visitors an opportunity to take in breathtaking views of Lake Ontario.The orchard is managed under a strict Integrated Pest Management program. Meticulous, weekly examinations of insects are carried out by scouts. By trying to establish a balance between predatory and damaging insects insecticide spray have been kept to a minimum which in the past has produced fruit which is free from residues expressed in parts per 100 million.Pieter's Appleyard is located in beautiful Colborne, Ontario, Canada on The Apple Route in Northumberland County. We offer high quality fruit that you pick yourself or if you don't have time you can pick something from Our Country Store.
