Founded in 1998 by David and Evelyn Ernst, Terra Beata cranberry farm serves a range of customers, from families who visit the U-pick and Bog Store for cranberries and farm-made cranberry gourmet preserves, to businesses looking for top-quality frozen cranberries and cranberry products. Our busy season begins with Open Farm Day on Sunday, September 16. The farm will be open from 11AM to 4PM for free guided walking tours, educational displays, and plenty of complimentary cranberry refreshments. Plan to come see how cranberries are grown, and tour inside our processing facility, too.Our Cranberry U-Pick — the first and only one in Nova Scotia! — opens on Thanksgiving weekend (Thursday, October 4) and will be open from 11AM to 4PM Monday — Saturday through October, weather permitting. Satisfaction is guaranteed –we grow "Stevens" cranberries, the largest, highest yielding variety around, so you can fill a 4 lb pail in under 45 minutes without even moving. The u-pick price is $1.50/lb, or $6 for a 4 lb pail. Berry pails are available at the farm. Wear rugged shoes or boots — the field may have muddy spots.DirectionsTo find us, take the 103 or # 3 highway to Lunenburg, then follow our signs.
