Bob Ansems U-Pick

About Us:The farm is approximately 100 acres in size. I live on the farm with my wife Cheryl, and we have three wonderful children, Michael (12), Mitchell (11) and Rachael who is 7. We hope that one day one of our children will carry on the farm; we have one son (Mitchell) who we already call little Bob.History:The farm was purchased by my parents Harry and Edith Ansems in the summer of 1961. The farm was mainly a Tobacco farm; my parents introduced strawberries to the farm in the summer of 1985. I purchased the farm from my parents in 1998. My main crops are Strawberries and Sweet Corn; I also grow Raspberries and grains. The U-Pick is located about 5 minutes outside of the town of Kentville, in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. Located about an hour and 10 minutes drive from Halifax/Dartmouth, also about one hour from the South Shore. The U-Pick is right next door to the beautiful Eagle Crest Golf Course and only a short drive to Halls Harbour.
